Part 2: Connecting the N301 to Another Router
If you have completed all the previous steps successfully, when you login to your Tenda and move past the wireless key page you should be greeted with a page similar to this one:

Seeing this window in your browser is good news; it means that you are ready to start part 2 of this tutorial!
Step 1:
We are now ready to begin linking this router with another router. To begin linking your Tenda N301 with another router, first click the “Wireless” tab. You should see a screen similar to the one below:

Step 2:
From the wireless tab, click the “Wireless Extender” option on the bottom left side of the window, and in the drop-down menu that says “extender mode” select “WISP”.
Do NOT select WDS Bridge mode! This option does not seem to work well unless both routers are the exact same model and brand (two Tenda N301s). WISP mode allows you to connect with any other router or device acting as one (including an ad-hoc network).
You should see a screen similar to the one below:

Step 3:
After selecting "Wireless Extender" and "WISP mode", hit the “open scan” button and it should display all the available wireless routers in the area and their signal strength. Click on the router you want to connect to.
If the router is secure you will need its security key. You will also have to manual select and enter it as shown below. Here the router I will be linking my new Tenda N301 to is called HISOKA, is broadcasting on channel 6, and is secured using WPA2 encryption as shown below. Now, I must enter the password to the router and select “OK.”

Step 4:
The router should reboot and it should allow you to connect to the Internet, you should be able to click the “home” tab and see something similar to what is shown below. If you do, you are done. If the router you connected to is connected to the Internet, you should be able to browse the Internet immediately.
